We are excited to share an update on our ongoing efforts to support local biodiversity in Cambridge and the surrounding areas and combat climate change through our tree planting initiative, in partnership with Carbon Footprint.
Since November 2019 up to December 2023, we have purchased a total of 1562 trees as part of our &More community programme and green pledge, where each tree represents a step towards a greener future and a healthier planet.
Our tree planting efforts have extended to several key locations across the East of England, focusing on areas that can benefit from increased greenery and native species. Here are some of the main locations that have benefitted from the trees that have been planted:
- Countryside Restoration Trust – CB23 7AG
- Dry Drayton Primary School – CB23 8DA
- Paxton Pits Nature Reserve – PE19 6ET
- Gorsefield Rural Studies Centre – CM24 8SS
- Mayfields Farm – Norfolk
- Boyd Campsite and Activity Centre – SG16 6AB
- Falcon Junior School – NR7 8NT
- Fen Ditton Parish Council – CB5 8TE
- Croft Bank Farm – PE25 1HZ
- Jesters Nursery – CM1 6DT
“It feels like just yesterday when the team ventured into the countryside to plant our very first tree. Witnessing the growth of our tree planting initiative over the years fills me with immense pride. This program embodies our commitment to the environment and community we support. We are honoured to be involved in such a meaningful and impactful scheme.” Andrew Bush, Managing Director.
How can you get involved?

First and foremost, by choosing Bush & Co for your property sale or rental, you automatically support our tree planting efforts, as we plant a tree for every property sold and let. Additionally, if you know of potential planting sites or have connections with local organisations or landowners interested in hosting tree planting activities, we would love to hear from you. Collaborations and community partnerships play a crucial role in expanding our impact and finding new locations for planting.
Together, we can continue to grow a greener future and make a positive difference in our local environment. Reach out to us today to explore how you can be part of this meaningful initiative!
